If it's the outdoors that you crave then head into the Forest with miles of cycling trails to suit all the River Wye provides a great base for canoeing kayaking and a breathtaking backdrop for the little more adventurous with rock climbing and abseiling.

Step back into forest history at The Dean Heritage Centre and the Hopewell Colliery and more local attractions include Dean Forest and Perrygrove Railways Puzzlewood Go Ape! the Forest Sculpture Trail Cyril Hart Arboretum. For those craving culture and relaxation Gloucester is less than 15 miles away why not visit the Victorian Docklands take a stroll through the cathedral grounds and don t forget the Quays for a lazy lunch and shopping.

The small town of Newnham on Severn is close by and well served with local butcher deli and bakery. Take some time to enjoy the views across the River Severn before you step inside.
