Step back in time as you step through the front door into this truly idyllic cottage. The tiny traditional lobby offer two options with the original restored wooden doors. Step to the left into the welcoming lounge and admire the original wooden lintels and stone work which are complemented by the owner's mid century furnishing and vibrant art work.
The wood burner sits within the ingle nook and is perfect for when the evenings draw in; there is a TV with Apple TV Netflix and a Sonos system. Step on through into the kitchen where you are able to enjoy views into the gardens. The kitchen has been hand crafted and is well equipped with electric oven and induction hob microwave two fridges with ice compartments a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine.
Off from the lounge there is a separate utility room with washer/dryer and separate WC. The dining room with its antique dining table and vintage chairs seating six provides the perfect athmosphere for a celebratory dinner or a convivial board game. The owner collects board games and there is a whole treasure trove for every age and occasion.
The original wooden frame work of the cottage has been preserved and now divides the room along with a second original stone fire place with a wood burning stove. When the day is done climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom consisting of shower over bath and WC.
The family shower room with WC is also on the first floor. From this floor there is a door which connects to a small staircase taking you to a second floor where you will find a twin room with garden views and the other side of the cottage is a further double room Step outside and enjoy the enclosed landscaped gardens with four varieties of apple tree and bushes of lavender and verbena.
The patio area has a solid wooden table and six chairs perfect for al fresco dining. The lawns are raised with well stocked borders edging the traditional dry stone wall. There is a gravelled area providing parking for two cars outside the cottage. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 king size, 1 double and 1 twin.
