In the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Somerford Keynes you ll find this wonderful property. A short drive away is the thriving market town of Cirencester the capital of the Cotswolds offering a great choice of pubs restaurants and shops as well as a range of attractions including the Corinium Museum the remains of a Roman Amphitheatre and Cirencester Park.
Nearby is Tetbury renowned for its antique shops and home to the royal residence of Highgrove Gardens. The Cotswold Water Park offers plenty of activities including water skiing wakeboarding horse riding golfing fishing and paintballing. On entering this artfully converted property which was originally part of a 16th century mill building and retains plenty of original features including exposed beams and a stone fireplace you will find yourself in the lovely open-plan lounge/diner.
The welcoming and traditional lounge is an ideal space for relaxation and features plenty of comfy seating TV/DVD and plenty of books games and DVDs for all the family and a selection of children s toys. There s a master bedroom with double bed and great storage space with views over the orchard and the meadow. In addition there s a twin room with vaulted ceiling that has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and overlooks the Thames that flows just below the window.
There is a stone-tiled family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. Stepping outside you will find a private large lawn garden overlooking the Thames. This is a wonderful space to sit back and unwind with a furnished patio ideal for al fresco dining. There is a large meadow for children to play in as well as a private floodlit tennis court.
The Thames Path is adjacent to the cottage and many wonderful walks are accessible directly from the front door including access to several pubs. Off-road parking is available. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double, 1 twin. 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and a WC. Electric oven, grill and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine/dryer and dishwasher.
